Travel to Africa with Debbie from The United States

My name is Debbie.  I am African American born and raised in Queens, New York.  My parents are both American, so were my grandparents.  I still reside in Queens.

Needless to tell you that, like most American, I did not know much about Africa until I start hanging out with Africans during my professional life and until I met my husband Demba, who is from Senegal, in college. We have been together for over 20 years. During that time I visited Senegal 19 times (almost every year).  What a mind blowing experience is was to visit Senegal the first time! That’s definitely not what I expected. Dakar, the capital of Senegal, is just like any other big city in the world but with an African touch. Tall buildings, mansions, cars, public buses, beaches, night clubs, fancy restaurants, plenty of hotels, highways, parks, a zoo, a university, international banks; definitely not what I was expecting. And to top it all the people are nice.

Senegal is a beautiful country to visit but also a safe, tolerant and open to the world country. It's  safe to wander among the locals in Senegal unlike many other countries. Unfortunately Americans in general do not know and do not visit this beautiful country like the Europeans (half a million tourist per year from Europe)

I love this country so much that  I want to share my experience with anyone with an open mind.

Come live in Senegal for 9 days with me and share my experience. You will love it. I guarantee it.
